गोमत्यास्त्वेष पुलिने त्वददर्शनसमुत्सुक: । आसीनो वर्तयन ब्रह्म ब्राह्मण: संशितव्रत:

Transliteration

gomatyāstv eṣa puline tvad-adarśana-samutsukaḥ | āsīno vartayan brahma brāhmaṇaḥ saṃśita-vrataḥ ||

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಗೋಮತಿ ನದಿಯ ಮರಳು ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾದ ವ್ರತಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನು ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ವೇದಪಠಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಉತ್ಸುಕನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
