यदा त्वमपि विदप्रर्षे त्रैलोक्यं सचराचरम् । जातकौतूहलो नित्यं सिद्धश्चरसि साक्षिवत्
yadā tvam api vidaprarṣe trailokyaṃ sacarācaram | jātakautūhalo nityaṃ siddhaś carasi sākṣivat ||
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮರ್ಷೇ! ನೀನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪುರುಷನು; ಚರಾಚರ ಜೀವಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿರುವ ತ್ರೈಲೋಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯುವ ಕುತೂಹಲದಿಂದ ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಂತೆ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತೀಯ.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse praises the ideal of the siddha who moves through the world with steady, impartial awareness—like a witness—combining active engagement (wandering through the worlds) with inner non-attachment and clear inquiry.
Bhīṣma addresses a brahmarṣi, describing him as a perfected being who roams the three worlds out of a constant desire to know, observing all beings as a detached witness—setting the tone for a reflective, dharma-centered discourse.
