Prāyaścitta and Contextual Non-Culpability (प्रायश्चित्त-निमित्त-अदोषवाद)

अनसूयुरध:शायी कर्म लोके प्रकाशयन्‌ | पूर्णद्धादिशभिर्वर्षेब्रद्म॒हा विप्रमुच्यते

an asūyur adhaḥśāyī karma loke prakāśayan | pūrṇadvādaśabhir varṣair brahmahā vipramucyate ||

ವ್ಯಾಸನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನು ದ್ವೇಷರಹಿತನಾಗಿ, ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಶಯನ ಮಾಡಿ, ಲೋಕದ ಮುಂದೆ ತನ್ನ ಕರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ, ಪೂರ್ಣ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅಂತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು ಪಾಪದಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
