त्वया विनिर्मितो<हं वै वेदचक्षुर्वयोतिग: । ते मे वेदा हताश्चक्षुरन्धो जातो5स्मि जागृहि

Transliteration

tvayā vinirmito'haṃ vai vedacakṣur vayotigaḥ | te me vedā hatāś cakṣur andho jāto'smi jāgṛhi ||

Translation

ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದಲೇ ನಾನು ನಿರ್ಮಿತನಾದೆನು—ವೇದಗಳೇ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಾಗಿ, ವೃದ್ಧಾಪ್ಯದ ದುರ್ಬಲತೆಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿದವನಾಗಿ. ಈಗ ನನ್ನ ವೇದಗಳು ನಾಶವಾದವು; ನನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಹೊಡೆತಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾಗಿದೆ. ನಾನು ಅಂಧನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ—ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಂಡು ಏಳಿ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿರಿ.
