ततस्ते लोकपितर: सर्वलोकार्थचिन्तका: । प्रावर्तयन्त तच्छास्त्रं धर्मयोनिं सनातनम्,तत्पश्चात् सम्पूर्ण लोकोंका हितचिन्तन करनेवाले उन लोकपिता प्रजापतियोंने धर्मके मूलभूत उस सनातन शास्त्रका जगतमें प्रचार किया
tataste lokapitarḥ sarvalokārthacintakāḥ | prāvartayanta tacchāstraṃ dharmayoniṃ sanātanam ||
ಅನಂತರ ಸರ್ವಲೋಕಗಳ ಹಿತವನ್ನು ಚಿಂತಿಸುವ ಲೋಕಪಿತೃಗಳಾದ ಪ್ರಜಾಪತಿಗಳು, ಧರ್ಮದ ಮೂಲವಾದ ಆ ಸನಾತನ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವರ್ತಿಸಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಸಾರ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
भीष्म उवाच
Dharma is not presented as a private preference but as an eternal, authoritative śāstra meant for the welfare of all; the world’s progenitors actively promulgate it so that society and cosmic order may be sustained.
Bhīṣma describes how the Prajāpatis—called the ‘Fathers of the worlds’—after considering the good of all beings, disseminate an eternal dharma-śāstra, establishing it as a guiding norm in the world.
