Śvetadvīpa-varṇana and Śāstra-pravartana (Śānti Parva 322)
शकुनानामिवाकाशे मत्स्यानामिव चोदके । पद यथा न दृश्येत तथा पुण्यकृतां गति:,जैसे आकाशमें पक्षियोंके और जलमें मछलियोंके चरण-चिह्न दिखायी नहीं देते, उसी प्रकार पुण्यात्मा ज्ञानियोंकी भी गतिका पता नहीं चलता
śakunānām ivākāśe matsyānām iva codake | padaṃ yathā na dṛśyeta tathā puṇyakṛtāṃ gatiḥ ||
ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಪಾದಚಿಹ್ನೆಯೂ, ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೀನುಗಳ ಗುರುತುಗಳೂ ಕಾಣದಂತೆ, ಪುಣ್ಯಕರ್ಮ ಮಾಡುವ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ಗತಿಯೂ ತಿಳಿಯದು.
