Śuka’s Guṇa-Transcendence and Vyāsa’s Consolation (शुकगति-वर्णनम्)

ज्ञानज्ञेयान्तरे तस्मिन्‌ मनो नामापरो गुण: । विचारयति येनायं॑ निश्चये साध्वसाधुनी

jñānajñeyāntare tasmin mano nāmāparo guṇaḥ | vicārayati yenāyaṁ niścaye sādhvasādhunī ||

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ಜ್ಞಾತ ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ಞೇಯಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ‘ಮನ’ ಎಂಬ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ತತ್ತ್ವ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಮನದ ಮೂಲಕವೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿ, ನಿರ್ಣಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸದು-ಅಸದುಗಳನ್ನು ಬೇರ್ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.”
