Utkramaṇa-sthāna and Ariṣṭa-lakṣaṇa: Yājñavalkya’s Instruction on Departure Pathways and Mortality Signs
ग्रन्थस्यार्थस्य पृष्ट: संस्तादृशो वक्तुमर्हति । यथा तत्त्वाभिगमनादर्थ तस्य स विन्दति
granthasyārthasya pṛṣṭaḥ saṃstādṛśo vaktum arhati | yathā tattvābhigamanād arthaṃ tasya sa vindati
ವಸಿಷ್ಠನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಗ್ರಂಥದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ, ಸಮರ್ಥನಾದ ಆಚಾರ್ಯನು ಶ್ರೋತಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ತತ್ತ್ವದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನಡೆಸುವುದರಿಂದಲೇ ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಗ್ರಂಥವು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
