येडर्था धर्मेण ते सत्या येडधर्मेण घिगस्तु तान्‌ । धर्म वै शाश्व॒तं लोके न जह्माद्‌ धनकाड्क्षया

Transliteration

ye 'rthā dharmeṇa te satyā ye 'dharmeṇa dhig astu tān | dharmo vai śāśvataṁ loke na jahyād dhanākāṅkṣayā ||

Translation

ಪಾರಾಶರನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಧರ್ಮದಿಂದ ಗಳಿಸಿದ ಧನವೇ ನಿಜವಾದ ಧನ; ಅಧರ್ಮದಿಂದ ದೊರಕಿದ ಧನವು ಧಿಕ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಧನದ ಆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಈ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ತ್ಯಜಿಸಬಾರದು.
