Adhyāya 284: Tapas as a Corrective to Household Attachment
Parāśara’s Instruction
यः: सहस्राण्यनेकानि पुंसामावृत्य दुर्देश: । तिष्ठत्येक: समुद्रान्ते स मे गोप्तास्तु नित्यश:
yaḥ sahasrāṇy anekāni puṁsām āvṛtya durdeśaḥ | tiṣṭhaty ekaḥ samudrānte sa me goptāstu nityaśaḥ ||
ಅನೇಕ ಸಹಸ್ರ ಜನರ ಮನಸ್ಸುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಆವರಣ ಹಾಕಿ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ದುರ್ಗಮ್ಯನಾಗಿ ಇರುವವನು; ಏಕೈಕನೂ ಅದ್ವಿತೀಯನೂ ಆಗಿರುವವನು; ಕಾಮನೆಗಳ ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ—ಸಮುದ್ರಾಂತ ತೀರದಂತೆ—ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುವವನು—ಆ ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರನು ನಿತ್ಯ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ।
