अध्याय २८१ — दानधर्मः, न्यायागतधनम्, ऋणत्रय-परिशोधनं च

Dāna ethics, lawful wealth, and settling obligations

तमेषा यास्यति क्षिप्रं तत्रैव च निवत्स्यति । ब्रह्मवध्या हव्यवाह व्येतु ते मानसो ज्वर:

tam eṣā yāsyati kṣipraṃ tatraiva ca nivatsyati | brahmavadhyā havyavāha vyetu te mānaso jvaraḥ ||

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಈ (ಪಾಪ) ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲೀಯೇ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವುದು. ಓ ಹವ್ಯವಾಹನ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೋಜ್ವರ ದೂರವಾಗಲಿ; ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆಯ ಭಾರ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಉಳಿಯದು—ತಮಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಆವೃತನಾಗಿ ಜ್ವಲಿತ ಅಗ್ನಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಥಾವಿಧಿ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡದವನಿಗೆ ಅದು ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
