तदेनमसुरश्रेष्ठ त्रैलोक्येनापि दुर्जयम्‌ । जहि त्वं योगमास्थाय मावमंस्था: सुरेश्वर,सुरेश्वर! यह श्रेष्ठ असुर तीनों लोकोंके लिये भी दुर्जय है। तुम योगका आश्रय लेकर इसका वध करो। इसकी अवहेलना न करो

tad enam asuraśreṣṭha trailokyenāpi durjayam | jahi tvaṁ yogam āsthāya māvamamsthāḥ sureśvara ||

ಮಹೇಶ್ವರನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಹೇ ಅಸುರಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಾ! ಇವನು ತ್ರಿಲೋಕಕ್ಕೂ ದುರ್ಜಯನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಹೇ ದೇವೇಶ್ವರಾ! ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿ ಇವನನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸು; ಅವನನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಬೇಡ.
