श्रेयो-धर्मकर्मविचारः
Inquiry into Śreyas, Dharma, and Karma
ये तु च्युता: सिद्धलोकात् क्रमेण तेषां गति यान्ति तथा<<नुपूर्व्या जीवा: परे तद्धलतुल्यरूपा: स्वं स्वं विधि यान्ति विपर्ययेण
ye tu cyutāḥ siddhalokāt krameṇa teṣāṃ gatiṃ yānti tathānupūrvyāḥ | jīvāḥ pare taddhalatulyarūpāḥ svaṃ svaṃ vidhiṃ yānti viparyayeṇa ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಸಿದ್ಧಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಚ್ಯುತರಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಕೆಳಲೋಕಗಳಿಗೆ ಇಳಿಯುವವರು ಹೇಗೋ, ಅವರ ಸಮಾನ ಸಾಧನಬಲ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಇತರ ಜೀವಿಗಳೂ ಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಾ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿ, ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಆ ಸಿದ್ಧರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನೇ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅಂಥ ಯೋಗ್ಯತೆ ಇಲ್ಲದವರು ವಿರೋಧ ಸ್ವಭಾವದಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
