परिव्राजक-आचारः (Conduct of the Wandering Renunciant) — Mahābhārata, Śānti-parva 269
गृहमेवाभिसंश्रित्य ततो<चन्ये ब्रह्मचारिण: । त एते दिवि दृश्यन्ते ज्योतिर्भूता द्विजातय:
gṛham evābhisaṃśritya tato 'nye brahmacāriṇaḥ | te ete divi dṛśyante jyotirbhūtā dvijātayaḥ ||
ಕಪಿಲನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಕೆಲವರು ಗೃಹಸ್ಥಾಶ್ರಮವನ್ನೇ ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಚಾರಿಗಳಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಆಶ್ರಮಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ವಿಧಿವತ್ತಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ, ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ವಿಜರು ಜ್ಯೋತಿರ್ಮಯರಾಗಿ ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
