Instruction on the Cessation of Craving
आर्चिष्मन्तो बर्हिषद: कव्यादा: पितरस्तथा । मृतस्याप्यनुमन्यन्ते मन्त्रान् मन्त्राश्ष कारणम्
arcīṣmanto barhiṣadaḥ kavyādāḥ pitaras tathā | mṛtasyāpy anumanyante mantrān mantrāś ca kāraṇam ||
ಕಪಿಲನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಆರ್ಚಿಷ್ಮಂತ, ಬರ್ಹಿಷದ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾವ್ಯಾದ ಎಂಬ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಮೃತನ ಪರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಂತ್ರಪಠಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮಂತ್ರಗಳೇ ಧರ್ಮ-ಮರ್ಯಾದೆಯನ್ನು ಧಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲ ಕಾರಣ.
