Shloka 8
स बुद्धिमुत्तमां प्राप्तो नैप्चेकीमकुतो भयाम् । सतीमशिशथिलां सत्यां वेदा३ इत्यब्रवीत् सकृत्,तब उत्तम, निर्भय, सुस्थिर, सत्य, सद्धावयुक्त एवं उत्साहयुक्त बुद्धिको प्राप्त हुए महर्षि कपिलने केवल एक बार इतना ही कहा--हा वेद! (जो तुम्हारे नामपर लोग ऐसा अनाचार करते हैं)
sa buddhim uttamāṁ prāpto naipcekīm akuto-bhayām | satīm aśithilāṁ satyāṁ vedā iti abravīt sakṛt ||
ಆಗ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ—ಅಚಲ, ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದಲೂ ಭಯರಹಿತ, ಸತ್ಯನಿಷ್ಠ ಮತ್ತು ಅಶಿಥಿಲ—ಮಹರ್ಷಿ ಕಪಿಲನು ಒಂದೇ ಬಾರಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು: “ಹಾ, ವೇದ!” (ವೇದದ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು).
