तुलाधारस्य कौन्तेय शान्तिमेवान्वपद्यत | एवं बहुमतार्थ च तुलाधारेण भाषितम्‌ | यथौपम्योपदेशेन कि भूय: श्रोतुमिच्छसि,कुन्तीनन्दन! तुलाधारने जो उपदेश दिया था, वह बहुजनसम्मत अर्थसे युक्त था। उसे सुनकर जाजलिको परम शान्ति प्राप्त हुई। उसे यथावत्‌ दृष्टान्तपूर्वक समझाया गया है। अब तुम और क्या सुनना चाहते हो?

bhīṣma uvāca | tulādhārasya kaunteya śāntim evānvapadyata | evaṃ bahumatārthaṃ ca tulādhāreṇa bhāṣitam | yathaupamyopadeśena kiṃ bhūyaḥ śrotum icchasi, kuntīnandana ||

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಓ ಕೌಂತೇಯನೇ! ತುಲಾಧಾರನು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದುದರಿಂದ (ಜಾಜಲಿ) ಪರಮ ಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು. ತುಲಾಧಾರನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತು ಬಹುಜನರಿಗೆ ಅಂಗೀಕಾರವಾದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿತ್ತು. ಯೋಗ್ಯ ಉಪಮೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈಗ ನೀನು ಇನ್ನೇನು ಕೇಳಲು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುತ್ತೀಯ?
