कपिलगोसंवादे गृहस्थ-त्यागधर्मयोः प्रमाण्यविचारः

तत्रापातयतां राजन शिरस्यण्डानि खेचरौ । तान्यबुध्यत तेजस्वी स विप्र: संशितव्रत:
tatrāpātayatāṃ rājan śirasy aṇḍāni khecarau | tāny abudhyata tejasvī sa vipraḥ saṃśitavrataḥ ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ರಾಜನೇ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಆಕಾಶಚರರಾದ ಎರಡು ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೊಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟವು. ಆದರೆ ಕಠೋರ ವ್ರತನಿಷ್ಠನಾದ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನು ಅವನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
