Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca |

atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṃ purātanam |

tulādhārasya vākyāni dharme jājalinā saha ||

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ರಾಜನೇ! ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾನು ಒಂದು ಪುರಾತನ ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅದು ಜಾಜಲಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಧರ್ಮವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವೈಶ್ಯ ತುಲಾಧಾರನು ಹೇಳಿದ ವಚನಗಳ ಪ್ರಸಂಗ.
