Ātma-saṃyama-dharma: One-pointedness of Mind and Senses (शुक–व्यास संवादः)
जघन्यशायी पूर्व स्यादुत्थाय गुरुवेश्मनि । यच्च शिष्येण कर्तव्यं कार्य दासेन वा पुन:
jaghanyaśāyī pūrvaṃ syād utthāya guruveśmani | yac ca śiṣyeṇa kartavyaṃ kāryaṃ dāsena vā punaḥ ||
ಗುರು ನಿದ್ರಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಅತಿ ವಿನಯಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಯನಿಸಿ, ಗುರು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸುವ ಮೊದಲುಲೇ ಎದ್ದು ಗುರುಗೃಹದಲ್ಲಿರಬೇಕು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯನಾಗಲಿ ದಾಸನಾಗಲಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ಕೆಲಸವಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ತಾನೇ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಬೇಕು.
