नित्यं कालपरीतस्य मम वा मद्विधस्य वा | बुद्धिरव्यसनमासाद्य भिन्ना नौरिव सीदति
nityaṁ kālaparītasya mama vā madvidhasya vā | buddhir avyasanam āsādya bhinnā naur iva sīdati ||
ನಾನಾಗಲಿ ನನ್ನಂತೆಯೇ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನಾಗಲಿ—ಕಾಲ (ಪ್ರಾರಬ್ಧ) ಆವರಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಅವನ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ವಿಪತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಲುಕಿ ಚಿದ್ರವಾದ ದೋಣಿಯಂತೆ ಶಿಥಿಲವಾಗಿ ಮುಳುಗುತ್ತದೆ.
