कालनिर्णयः, युगधर्मवर्णनम्, सृष्टिक्रमश्च

Time-Reckoning, Yuga-Dharma, and the Sequence of Creation

शचीपति इन्द्र! जैसे तुम हो, वैसे ही बल और पराक्रमसे सम्पन्न अनेक सहस्र इन्द्र समाप्त हो चुके हैं ।।

Transliteration

tvām apy atibalaṃ śakra devarājaṃ balotkaṭam | prāpta-kāle mahāvīryaḥ kālaḥ saṃśamayīṣyati ||

Translation

ಶಕ್ರನೇ! ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅತಿಬಲವಂತ, ದೇವರಾಜ, ಉಗ್ರಬಲಸಂಪನ್ನನೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತೀಯೆ; ಆದರೆ ಕಾಲ ಬಂದಾಗ ಮಹಾವೀರ್ಯನಾದ ಕಾಲವೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ ಶಮನಗೊಳಿಸುವನು. ಶಚೀಪತೇ! ನಿನ್ನಂತೆಯೇ ಬಲ-ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಸಂಪನ್ನರಾದ ಅನೇಕ ಸಹಸ್ರ ಇಂದ್ರರು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಅಂತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
