कालनिर्णयः, युगधर्मवर्णनम्, सृष्टिक्रमश्च
Time-Reckoning, Yuga-Dharma, and the Sequence of Creation
पृथिवी ज्योतिराकाशमापो वायुश्च॒ पठचम: । एतद्योनीनि भूतानि तत्र का परिदेवना
śakra uvāca | pṛthivī jyotir ākāśam āpo vāyuś ca pañcamaḥ | etad-yonīni bhūtāni tatra kā paridevanā ||
ಶಕ್ರನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಭೂಮಿ, ಅಗ್ನಿ (ಜ್ಯೋತಿ), ಆಕಾಶ, ಜಲ ಮತ್ತು ಐದನೆಯದು ವಾಯು—ಇವೆಯೇ ದೇಹಧಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಜೀವಿಗಳ ಯೋನಿಗಳು (ಉಪಾದಾನಗಳು). ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಇವುಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲೇ ಲೀನರಾಗುವಾಗ, ಅಳಲು-ವಿಲಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಏನು ಕಾರಣ?
