यस्य सम ददतो वित्तं न कदाचन हीयते । तं॑ बलिं नाधिगच्छामि ब्रद्म॒ुन्नाचक्ष्व मे बलिम्‌

Transliteration

yasya sama dadato vittaṃ na kadācana hīyate | taṃ baliṃ nādhigacchāmi brahman ācakṣva me balim ||

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ಸಮವಾಗಿ ದಾನಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗದ ಧನಭಂಡಾರ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಆ ರಾಜ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೇ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮನ್! ನನಗೆ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸು—ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಹೇಳು.”
