Guru’s Instruction on Dream, Mind, Guṇas, and Knowing Brahman
Svapna–Manas–Guṇa–Brahma-vicāra
इनके सिवा और भी बहुत-से रणदुर्मद दानव थे, जो देवताओंकी उत्तम समृद्धिको सहन नहीं कर पाते थे ।। दानवैरर्धमानास्तु देवा देवर्षयस्तथा । न शर्म लेभिरे राजन् विशमानास्ततस्तत:,राजन! उन दानवोंसे पीड़ित हो देवता और देवर्षि कहीं चैन नहीं पाते थे। वे इधर-उधर लुकते-छिपते फिरते थे
dānavair ardhamānāstu devā devarṣayastathā | na śarma lebhire rājan viśamānāstatastataḥ ||
ಇವರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿಯೂ ಇನ್ನೂ ಅನೇಕ रणದುರ್ಮದ ದಾನವರು ಇದ್ದರು; ದೇವತೆಗಳ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ಸಹಿಸಲಾರರು. ಆ ದಾನವರಿಂದ ಪೀಡಿತರಾಗಿ, ರಾಜನೇ, ದೇವರೂ ದೇವರ್ಷಿಗಳೂ ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಶಾಂತಿ ಪಡೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವರು ವ್ಯಾಕುಲರಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಳಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡಗುತ್ತಾ ಅಲೆದಾಡಿದರು.
