Educational Q&A

The verse teaches that the spiritual fruit attained through yogic discipline is also attainable through japa; sincere, steady repetition and remembrance can be as efficacious as formal yoga in producing spiritual attainment.

In Bhīṣma’s discourse, a speaker continues with a gentle, persuasive statement, emphasizing—without reservation—that japa-practitioners can reach the same results as yogins.
