The colophon closes a unit of instruction centered on mokṣa-oriented ethics: the ‘ājagara-vṛtti’ ideal of non-grasping, patient acceptance, and freedom from compulsive striving, presented through a dialogue that frames inner liberation as superior to restless acquisition.
Bhīṣma’s discourse reaches the end of a chapter in the Mokṣa-dharma section. The text marks completion of the dialogue between Prahlāda and a sage who lives by the ‘python-like’ discipline, signaling that this particular teaching conversation has concluded.
