अथ निश्चित्य मनसा शाल्मलिवातकारितम्‌

atha niścitya manasā śālmalivātakāritam

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ನಂತರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೃಢನಿಶ್ಚಯ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಶಾಲ್ಮಲಿ ಮರದ ಗಾಳಿಯಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾದ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಂತೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತೊಡಗಿದನು—ಅಂದರೆ ಆ ಅಚಾನಕ್, ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ ಆವೇಗ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಆಯ್ದನು।”
