Daṇḍa as the Foundation of Social Order (दण्डप्रतिष्ठा)
यत्र श्यामो लोहिताक्षो दण्डश्चरति सूद्यत: । प्रजास्तत्र न मुहान्ते नेता चेत् साधु पश्यति
yatra śyāmo lohitākṣo daṇḍaś carati sūdyataḥ | prajāstatra na muhyante netā cet sādhu paśyati ||
ಎಲ್ಲಿ ದಂಡ—ಶ್ಯಾಮವೂ ಲೋಹಿತಾಕ್ಷವೂ—ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ದಂಡಿಸಲು ಸಿದ್ಧನಾಗಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜನು ಅಪರಾಧಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಜಾಗರೂಕವಾಗಿ, ವಿವೇಕದಿಂದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಇಡುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳು ಮೋಹಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಪ್ರಮಾದವೂ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ನ್ಯಾಯಯುತ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಸ್ತಿನ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಾರ್ಹ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನದಿಂದ ಕ್ರಮ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ।
