Dasyu-maryādā and Buddhi-guided Rāja-nīti (दस्युमर्यादा तथा बुद्धिप्रधान-राजनीति)
नविश्वसेदविश्वस्ते विश्वस्ते नातिविश्वसेत् विश्वासाद् भयमुत्पन्नमपि मूलं निकृन्तति । काम॑ विश्वासयेदन्यान् परेषां च न विश्वसेत्
na viśvased aviśvaste viśvaste nātiviśvaset | viśvāsād bhayam utpannam api mūlaṃ nikṛntati || kāmaṃ viśvāsayed anyān pareṣāṃ ca na viśvaset |
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮದತ್ತನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ನಂಬಲಾರದವನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡಬೇಡ; ನಂಬಲಾರದವನು ಅಲ್ಲದವನ ಮೇಲೂ ಅತಿಯಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡಬೇಡ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ಭಯ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಬೇರುಸಹಿತ ಕತ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಇತರರಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಮೇಲಿನ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಬಹುದು; ಆದರೆ ತಾನು ಇತರರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಂಧವಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡಬಾರದು.
