भीष्म उवाच ग्राहयित्वा तु तं॑ स्वार्थ मार्जार मूषिकस्तथा । प्रविवेश तु विश्रभ्य क्रोडमस्य कृतागस:
bhīṣma uvāca: grāhayitvā tu taṁ svārthaṁ mārjāra-mūṣikas tathā | praviveśa tu viśrabdhya kroḍam asya kṛtāgasaḥ ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರನೇ! ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಇಲಿ ಬೆಕ್ಕಿನಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥದ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು; ನಂತರ ಆ ಪಾಪಿ ಶತ್ರುವಿನ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟು, ನಿರ್ಭಯವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಮಡಿಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕೂತಿತು.
