Apaddharma Determination: Dialogue of Viśvāmitra and the Śvapaca
मयाप्युपायो दृष्टोडयं विचार्य मतिमात्मन: । आत्मार्थ च त्वदर्थ च श्रेयः साधारणं हि नौ
mayāpy upāyo dṛṣṭo ’yaṃ vicārya matim ātmanaḥ | ātmārthaṃ ca tvadarthaṃ ca śreyaḥ sādhāraṇaṃ hi nau ||
ನಾನೂ ನನ್ನ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಹಿತಕ್ಕೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಹಿತಕ್ಕೂ ತಕ್ಕ ಒಂದು ಉಪಾಯವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮಿಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಸಮಾನವಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೇಯಸ್ಸು ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿತವು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
