धर्मार्थकुशलो राजा धर्मशास्त्रविशारद: । पृच्छामि त्वां कुरुश्रेष्ठ तन्मे व्याख्यातुमहसि
Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: dharmārthakuśalo rājā dharmaśāstraviśāradaḥ | pṛcchāmi tvāṃ kuruśreṣṭha tan me vyākhyātum arhasi, bharatabhūṣaṇa |
ಓ ಕುರುಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಾ! ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ—ಧರ್ಮಾರ್ಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಶಲನಾಗಿಯೂ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಂಡಿತ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ರಾಜನು ಸಹ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದಾಗ ಯಾವ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಆಶ್ರಯದಿಂದ ಮೋಹಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ, ಅದನ್ನು ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ನನಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿ.
