लोमश उवाच सत्यं शपे त्वयाहं वै मित्रद्रोहो विगर्हित: | तन्मन्ये5हं तव प्रज्ञां यस्त्वं मम हिते रत:
lomaśa uvāca satyaṃ śape tvayāhaṃ vai mitradroho vigarhitaḥ | tan manye 'haṃ tava prajñāṃ yas tvaṃ mama hite rataḥ ||
ಲೋಮಶನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಸಹೋದರ, ನಾನು ಸತ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ: ಮಿತ್ರದ್ರೋಹ ನಿಂದನೀಯ. ನೀನು ಸದಾ ನನ್ನ ಹಿತದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಉತ್ತಮ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಗುರುತು ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
