आपद्धर्मे राज्ञः नीतिः — Bharadvāja’s Counsel on Crisis-Statecraft (Śānti Parva 138)
परीक्ष्यकारी युक्तश्न स सम्यगुपपादयेत् । देशकालावभिप्रेतो ताभ्यां फलमवाप्नुयात्
parīkṣyakārī yuktaśna sa samyag upapādayet | deśakālāv abhipreto tābhyāṃ phalam avāpnuyāt ||
ಯಾವನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಮಾಡುವವನು, ನಿಯಮಿತ ಆಚರಣೆಯುಳ್ಳವನು, ಸದಾ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದಿರುವವನು, ಅವನು ಇಷ್ಟವಾದ ದೇಶ–ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ಯಥಾವತ್ತಾಗಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿ, ಅವೆರಡರ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಬಯಸಿದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
