Kāpavya-carita (कापव्यचरित) — Reforming Dasyus through Regulated Rāja-Dharma
यदैव प्राकृतं शास्त्रमविशेषेण वर्तते । तदैवमभ्यसेदेवं मेधावी वाप्यथोत्तरम्
yadaiva prākṛtaṃ śāstram aviśeṣeṇa vartate | tadaivam abhyased evaṃ medhāvī vāpy athottaram ||
ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ (ಪ್ರಾಕೃತ) ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವು ಯಾವುದೇ ವಿಶೇಷ ಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಪ್ರಚಲಿತದಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಆದರೆ ಮೇಧಾವಿಯು ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ, ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಉನ್ನತವಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕು.
