यदि गुह्ां न वो नित्य॑ तदा प्रब्रूत मा चिरम्‌ न गुहां श्रोतुमिच्छामि युष्मद्भ्यो द्विजसत्तमा:

Transliteration

yadi guhyaṁ na vo nityaṁ tadā prabrūta mā ciram | na guhyaṁ śrotum icchāmi yuṣmadbhyo dvijasattamāḥ ||

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— “ಇದು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಸದಾ ಗುಪ್ತ ರಹಸ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಸಬೇಕಾದದ್ದಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, ತಡಮಾಡದೆ ಹೇಳಿರಿ. ಹೇ ದ್ವಿಜಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರೇ! ಗುಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ಕಾಯಬೇಕಾದ ರಹಸ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಕೇಳಲು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.”
