एतान् मयोक्ताश्नर राजधर्मान् नृणां च गुप्ती मतिमादधत्स्व । अवाप्स्यसे पुण्यफलं सुखेन सर्वो हि लोको नृप धर्ममूल:,नरेश्वर! मेरे बताये हुए इन राजधर्मोका आचरण करो और प्रजाके पालनमें मन लगाओ। इससे तुम सुखपूर्वक पुण्यफल प्राप्त करोगे; क्योंकि सम्पूर्ण जगत्का मूल धर्म ही है
etān mayoktān nara-rāja dharmān nṛṇāṁ ca guptīṁ matim ādhatsva | avāpsyase puṇya-phalaṁ sukhena sarvo hi loko nṛpa dharma-mūlaḥ ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಓ ನರರಾಜನೇ! ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಈ ರಾಜಧರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಧರಿಸಿ ಆಚರಿಸು; ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಡಳಿತದಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ನೆಲೆಗೊಳಿಸು. ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನೀನು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಪುಣ್ಯಫಲ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಷೇಮವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವೆ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಓ ನೃಪನೇ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಲೋಕವೂ ಧರ್ಮಮೂಲವಾಗಿದೆ.
