अवमानेन युक्तस्य स्थानभ्रष्टस्य वा पुन: । कथं यास्यसि विश्वासमहं तिष्ठामि वा कथम्
avamānena yuktasya sthānabhraṣṭasya vā punaḥ | kathaṃ yāsyasi viśvāsaṃ ahaṃ tiṣṭhāmi vā katham ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಅವಮಾನದಿಂದ ಬಾಧಿತನಾದವನು, ಅಥವಾ ಮತ್ತೆ ತನ್ನ ಯೋಗ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ ತಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನು, ಹೇಗೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡಬಲ್ಲನು? ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಆ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಹೇಗೆ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿ, ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಬಲ್ಲೆನು?
