राजोपक्रोशदोषाश्न सर्वे संश्रयवासिनाम् । व्रतचर्या तु नि:संगा निर्भया वनवासिनाम्,जो राजाके आश्रयमें रहते हैं, उन्हें राजाकी निन्दासे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाले सभी दोष प्राप्त होते हैं। इधर मेरे जैसे वनवासियोंकी व्रतचर्या सर्वयधा असंग और भयसे रहित होती है
rājopakrōśa-doṣāśn sarve saṁśraya-vāsinām | vrata-caryā tu niḥsaṅgā nirbhayā vana-vāsinām ||
ರಾಜನ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ರಾಜನ ನಿಂದೆ-ದೋಷಾರೋಪದಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ದೋಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲುಗಾರರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನಂತಹ ಅರಣ್ಯವಾಸಿಗಳ ವ್ರತಚರ್ಯೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಿರಾಸಕ್ತವೂ ನಿರ್ಭಯವೂ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
