Ānṛśaṃsya, Amātya-Guṇa, and Reconciliatory Counsel (आनृशंस्य–अमात्यगुण–संधि-उपदेशः)
यद् यद् वचनमुक्तो5स्मि करिष्यामि च तत् तथा । एतद्धि परम श्रेयो न मे5त्रास्ति विचारणा
yad yad vacanam ukto 'smi kariṣyāmi ca tat tathā | etad dhi paramaṃ śreyo na me 'trāsti vicāraṇā ||
ಭಗವನ್! ನನಗೆ ನೀವು ಯಾವ ಯಾವ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದೀರೋ ಅವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ನಾನು ಅದೆ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವೆನು. ಇದೇ ನನಗೆ ಪರಮ ಶ್ರೇಯಸ್ಸು; ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ವಿಚಾರವಿಲ್ಲ.
भीष्म उवाच
Unhesitating adherence to righteous instruction: Bhīṣma frames obedience to a worthy command as “paramaṃ śreyaḥ,” the highest welfare, and rejects wavering or second-guessing when dharma is clear.
In the Śānti Parva’s instructional setting, Bhīṣma responds to an addressed authority (implied by the context) by affirming that he will execute every directive exactly as given, treating compliance as his greatest good and ending all further deliberation.
