शुश्रूषवश्चानभिमानिन श्च परस्पर सौहृदमास्थिताश्न । येषां योधा: शौचमनुषिता श्व जयस्यैतद्‌ भाविनो रूपमाहु:,जिनके योद्धा स्वामीकी सेवामें उत्साह रखनेवाले, अहंकाररहित, आपसमें एक- दूसरेका हित चाहनेवाले तथा शौचाचारका पालन करनेवाले हों, उनकी होनेवाली विजयका यही शुभ लक्षण बताया गया है

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | śuśrūṣavaś cānabhimāninaś ca paraspara-sauhṛdam āsthitāś ca | yeṣāṃ yodhāḥ śaucam anuṣṭhitāś ca jayasyaitad bhāvino rūpam āhuḥ ||

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಸ್ವಾಮಿಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಿಗಳಾಗಿ, ಅಹಂಕಾರರಹಿತರಾಗಿ, ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಸೌಹಾರ್ದದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿರರಾಗಿ, ಶೌಚಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುವ ಯೋಧರು ಯಾರಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೋ—ಇವೇ ಅವರ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ವಿಜಯದ ಶುಭಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ.
