शूरलक्षणवर्णनम् | Marks and Typologies of Martial Temperament
जिद्याक्षा: प्रललाटाश्व निर्मासहनवो5डपि च । वज़बाह्वंगुलीचक्रा: कृशा धमनिसंतता:
jidyākṣāḥ pralalāṭāśva-nirmāsa-hanavo 'lpāpi ca | vajra-bāhv-aṅgulī-cakrāḥ kṛśā dhamani-saṃtatāḥ ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು— ಯಾರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ತಿರಚಾಗಿರುವವೋ, ಲಲಾಟ ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿರುವವೋ, ದವಡೆಗಳು ಕೃಶವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಯಃ ಮಾಂಸರಹಿತವಾಗಿರುವವೋ; ಯಾರ ಭುಜಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ವಜ್ರಚಿಹ್ನವೂ, ಬೆರಳುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಕ್ರಚಿಹ್ನವೂ ಇರುವವೋ; ದೇಹ ಅಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಸಣ್ಣದಾಗಿ ನರಜಾಲ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸುವವೋ— ಅಂಥವರು ಯುದ್ಧ ಆರಂಭವಾದ ಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಮಹಾವೇಗದಿಂದ ಶತ್ರುಸೈನ್ಯದೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿ, ಮದಿಸಿದ ಆನೆಗಳಂತೆ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ದುರ್ಜಯರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ।
