जनकस्य युद्धोपदेशः — Janaka’s Instruction on Steadfast Battle-Conduct
हर्षयेयुविंषण्णांश्व व्यवस्थाप्य परस्परम् । जितां च भूमिं रक्षेत भग्नान् नात्यनुसारयेत्
harṣayeya viṣaṇṇānś ca vyavasthāpya parasparam | jitāṃ ca bhūmiṃ rakṣeta bhagnān nātyanusarayet ||
ತನ್ನ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ವಿಷಣ್ಣವಾಗಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಶಿಥಿಲವಾಗಲಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಯಥಾವಿಧಿ ವ್ಯೂಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಮರುಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ನೆರವಾಗುವಂತೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಹರ್ಷ–ಉತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಬೇಕು. ಗೆದ್ದ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಬೇಕು; ಆದರೆ ಸೋತು ಓಡುವ ಶತ್ರುವನ್ನು ಅತಿದೂರವರೆಗೆ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಬಾರದು.
