युधिछिर उवाच आर्तप्रलापान्मा तात सलिलस्थ: प्रभाषिथा: । नैतन्मनसि मे राजन् वाशितं शकुनेरिव
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | ārta-pralāpān mā tāta salila-sthaḥ prabhāṣiṭhāḥ | na etan manasi me rājan vāśitaṃ śakuner iva ||
ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ತಾತ, ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಆರ್ಥರಂತೆ ಪ್ರಲಾಪಿಸಬೇಡ. ರಾಜನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೂ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನೆಲಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ—ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಚಿಲಿಪಿಲಿಯಂತೆ.
युधिछिर उवाच
Even amid crisis, one should avoid grief-driven, incoherent speech; words should be meaningful, restrained, and ethically grounded rather than mere emotional outbursts.
