द्वैपायनह्रदे दुर्योधनान्वेषणम् / The Search for Duryodhana at Dvaipāyana Lake
प्राद्रवन् रथिनां श्रेष्ठा दृष्टवा पाण्डुसुतान् रणे । तत्पश्चात् वे महारथी दीर्घकालतक वहाँ विलाप करते रहे। फिर रणभूमिमें पाण्डवोंको आते देख वे रथियोंमें श्रेष्ठ तीनों वीर वहाँसे भाग निकले ।।

prādravan rathināṃ śreṣṭhā dṛṣṭvā pāṇḍusutān raṇe |
te tu māṃ rathamāropya kṛpasya supariṣkṛtam |
sarve vicukruśuḥ śrutvā putrāṇāṃ tava saṃkṣayam ||
ರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಂಡುಪುತ್ರರು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ರಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರಾದ ಅವರು ಓಡಿಹೋದರು. ನಂತರ ಉಳಿದ ಆ ಮೂರು ಮಹಾರಥರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೃಪಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಸುಸಜ್ಜಿತ ರಥದ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿಸಿ ಶಿಬಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ದರು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪುತ್ರರ ಸಂಹಾರದ ವಾರ್ತೆ ಕೇಳಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಜೋರಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತರು.
