द्वैपायनह्रदे दुर्योधनान्वेषणम् / The Search for Duryodhana at Dvaipāyana Lake
युयुत्सुरपि तां रात्रि स्वगृहे न्यवसत् तदा । वन्द्यमान: स्वकैश्वापि नाभ्यनन्दत् सुदु:खित: । चिन्तयान: क्षयं तीव्रं भरतानां परस्परम्
sañjaya uvāca |
yuyutsur api tāṃ rātriṃ svagṛhe nyavasat tadā |
vandyamānaḥ svakaiś cāpi nābhyānandat suduḥkhitaḥ |
cintayānaḥ kṣayaṃ tīvraṃ bharatānāṃ parasparam ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯುಯುತ್ಸು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಗೃಹದಲ್ಲೇ ಉಳಿದನು. ತೀವ್ರ ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಪೀಡಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ತನ್ನವರಿಂದ ವಂದಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಭರತರ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಯುದ್ಧದಿಂದ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಆ ಘೋರ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಸಂಹಾರವನ್ನೇ ಅವನು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರ ಚಿಂತಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
