प्रगुह्दा विपुलं खड़॒गं सहदेवाय प्राहिणोत् । राजेन्द्र! धनुष कट जानेपर उस समय सुबलपुत्र शकुनिने एक विशाल खड़्ग लेकर उसे सहदेवपर दे मारा ।। तमापतन्तं सहसा घोररूप॑ विशाम्पते
praguhyā vipulaṁ khaḍgaṁ sahadevāya prāhiṇot | rājendra! dhanuṣ-kaṭa-jānepara usa samaya subalaputraḥ śakunir ekaṁ viśālaṁ khaḍgaṁ gṛhītvā taṁ sahadevaṁ prati mumoca || tam āpatantaṁ sahasā ghorarūpaṁ viśāmpate
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ರಾಜೇಂದ್ರ! ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಬಲಪುತ್ರ ಶಕುನಿ ಒಂದು ಮಹತ್ತರ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಸಹದೇವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಸೆದನು. ಘೋರರೂಪಿಯಾದ ಆ ಆಯುಧವು ಸಹಸಾ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿ ಬಂತು, ಹೇ ನೃಪತೇ!
