Adhyāya 14: Śalya’s Missile-Pressure and the Pāṇḍava Convergence (शल्यस्य शरवर्षम्)
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत शल्यपर्वमें शल्यका युद्धविषयक तेरहवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
sañjaya uvāca | cakrāṇāṃ patatāṃ cāpi yugānāṃ ca dharātale samadṛśyanta pārthasya rathamārgeṣu bhārata |
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು: ಓ ಭಾರತ! ಪಾರ್ಥನ ರಥಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಚಕ್ರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಯುಗಗಳು (ಜೂಗಳು) ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು. ಅರ್ಜುನನ ವೇಗದಿಂದ ಕಲಕಿದ ರಣಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಥದ ಅಂಗೋಪಾಂಗಗಳು, ತೂಣೀರಗಳು, ಪತಾಕಾ-ಧ್ವಜಗಳು, ಈಷೆಗಳು, ಅನುಕರ್ಷಗಳು, ತ್ರಿವೇಣು ಮರಗಳು, ಧುರಗಳು, ಹಗ್ಗಗಳು, ಚಾವಟಿಗಳು—ಮತ್ತು ಕುಂಡಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಗಡಿ ಧರಿಸಿದ ಕಡಿದ ತಲೆಗಳು, ಭುಜಗಳು, ಭುಜಸಂಧಿಗಳು, ಛತ್ರಗಳು, ವ್ಯಜನಗಳು, ಮುಕುಟಗಳು—ಗುಡ್ಡಗುಡ್ಡವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು; ಅವನ ರಥಪಥವೇ ನಾಶದ ಗುರುತು ಆಗಿದ್ದಂತೆ.
