अध्याय ९ — दुर्योधनस्य अन्त्यावस्था, विलापः, तथा सौप्तिक-प्रतिवृत्तम्
Duryodhana’s Final Condition, Lamentation, and the Night’s Report
गत्वा चैनमपश्यन्त किज्चित्प्राणं जनाधिपम् । ततो रथेभ्य: प्रस्कन्द्य परिवद्रुस्तवात्मजम्,वहाँ जाकर उन्होंने राजा दुर्योधनको देखा, उसकी कुछ-कुछ साँस चल रही थी। फिर वे रथोंसे कूद पड़े और आपके पुत्रके पास जा उसे सब ओरसे घेरकर बैठ गये
gatvā cainam apaśyanta kiñcit-prāṇaṁ janādhipam | tato rathebhyaḥ praskandya parivadruḥ tava ātmajam ||
ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರು ಜನಾಧಿಪ ದುರ್ಯೋಧನನನ್ನು ಕಂಡರು—ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಪ್ರಾಣಚಲನೆ ಉಳಿದಿತ್ತು. ನಂತರ ಅವರು ರಥಗಳಿಂದ ಜಿಗಿದು ಇಳಿದು, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪುತ್ರನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದು ಕುಳಿತರು।
